Why trying to remove ego from communications often removes authenticity too

Many organisations are uncomfortable putting individual names against achievements that were delivered collectively. As a result, we often see quotes reattributed to multiple people at once or even entire teams during approval processes. The intention is usually generous. The outcome, however, is often less authentic, less credible, and less useful for the audiences the communication is trying to reach.
