The construction industry is where it all began for SE10. Our partners are former international construction magazine editors who saw a gap in the market for a PR agency that could follow through on strategy with refreshing and well-written content. Both partners maintain strong links with their colleagues and peers in the construction and mining press to this day.
Meanwhile, SE10’s first clients Manitowoc Cranes and Volvo Construction Equipment have become the agency’s largest and longest-standing accounts. SE10’s knowledge of the construction industry and expertise in promoting heavy machinery have also attracted other construction equipment manufacturers SDLG and Terex Trucks, as well as mining equipment suppliers Metso Minerals and Joy Global. SE10 is also involved in the consulting side of the construction industry, helping Aurecon with its regional media relations for APAC and also running social media campaigns for the company in China.
Whether we’re embedded at these clients’ headquarters, visiting a factory, or reporting from a jobsite, SE10 has a proven track record of increasing awareness and understanding of heavy equipment manufacturers’ products and activities, and forging relationships that drive engagement – whether from the media, customers or employees.
SE10 has over a decade of experience promoting cranes, elevated work platforms, forklift trucks, conveyor systems, and their components. During this time SE10 staff have amassed a great deal of knowledge about the access and material handling industries and built strong relationships with trade titles, such as Cranes & Access, Access International, Access, Lift & Handlers, Materials Handling World, and Modern Materials Handling.
SE10 works as an extension of clients’ corporate communications and marketing departments to define key messages – typically the features and benefits of their equipment and components – and articulate them in press releases, customer testimonials, product brochures and web texts. Our skill in taking often complex technical information and presenting it in an appealing and digestible way has proved key to our success.
Recently we’ve helped Manitowoc Cranes promote its work on the groundbreaking ITER project in France, reported on the use of a Potain tower crane in the construction of Argentina’s tallest residential building, supported the launch of a new range of weather-resistant mast chain for forklift trucks, and helped access platform manufacturer Skyjack celebrate its 30th birthday in style with a tradeshow flash mob and international charity campaign. These activities and more have significantly helped clients to boost their corporate reputation, and increase customer awareness and understanding of their products, putting them in the right frame of mind to buy.
SE10 feels very much at home in the factory, having served a broad range of industrial and manufacturing clients throughout its history. Years of experience have enabled us to develop an in-depth understanding of manufacturing processes and the broader environment in which industrial facilities operate – not to mention an impressive portfolio of media contacts.
Our technically-minded staff have a fascination with the way things are made and aren’t afraid to get their hard hats and protective gear on. Their curiosity and ability to translate complex processes and their benefits for often non-expert audiences in a simple and engaging way are what sets SE10 apart.
When supporting an industrial client’s internal communications department –such as with Rolls-Royce in Singapore, China and India – we relish the challenge of connecting with often hard-to-reach production and warehouse employees, empowering and encouraging them to see the bigger picture and work to their full potential.
Externally, we take pride in accompanying media and other stakeholders to the opening of a new facility or on a tour of the production line, ensuring all employees they meet are primed for questions. At the same time we strive to ensure a steady stream of media coverage that helps boost understanding and recognition of products and achievements, while fostering and maintaining a strong corporate reputation.
Low fuel prices and ever tighter efficiency legislation are rapidly transforming the global energy industry. SE10 has helped clients in this sector – from oil majors to manufacturers of solar panels and generators – stand out from the competition and positively influence perception in an increasingly challenging environment.
Recently we’ve reported on energy topics as diverse as the 2016 U.S Department of Energy’s efficiency regulations for distribution transformers, the growing desire for energy independence through renewable energy in North Africa, and the high-purity processing of silicon for the manufacture of solar panels.
These stories and more – developed in cooperation with clients’ corporate communications and marketing functions – have achieved notable coverage in many trade journals and online news portals around the globe, including World of Coal, Utilities Middle East, Power Transformer News, Electrical Business, Wind Power Engineering International, and PV Magazine.
In the oil and gas sector, we've also been helping KOP Surface Products with a range of PR and marketing communications work to support its rebrand following a company restructure.
The rapid expansion of global trade over the past two decades has seen the logistics and supply chain industries play an increasingly important role. We have helped clients, including Panalpina and Keystone Logistics, to tell their stories to both the logistics and general business press. With changing trade lanes and increasingly sophisticated technology, the global logistics and supply chain business is a perfect fit for SE10’s global spread and industrial PR specialization.
We understand the importance of delivering the right goods at the right time – and this is exactly what we aim to achieve with our communications. Through timely and pertinent press releases and articles, along with persuasive case studies, speeches, product brochures and webtexts, SE10 has a proven track record of increasing awareness and understanding of client’s products, services and activities, and forging relationships that drive engagement.
Recently our stories have been covered in trusted logistics and supply chain titles, such as Air International, Air Cargo World, Port Industry, Warehouse & Logistics News, Logistics & Supply Chain, and Supply Chain Magazine.
The automotive and transport sectors are innovating at a remarkable pace in a bid to improve safety, fuel consumption and emissions – not to mention driver and passenger comfort. SE10 works with clients in these sectors – primarily vehicle component and OEMs – to help cut though the noise and make their individual brand characteristics and benefits shine.
Recently we’ve reported on the launch of the world’s first entirely electric bus route in Sweden, and the development of rare-earth free motors for use in hybrid and electric cars, as well as penning a successful product design award entry for a major commercial truck manufacturer.
Our efforts have earned our clients valuable coverage in trusted automotive engineering and transport magazines and online news portals from around the world, such as EETE Automotive, Today’s Motor Vehicles, AutoVolt, Transport Engineer, and ITS International.
Previous team experience includes public relations for the Mazda dealer network, and automotive website developer GForces, as well as the international launch of a new Chinese car manufacturer, Qoros.
In the world of waste management and recycling, efficiency and environmental care are the name of the game. SE10 works with clients in this sector – primarily suppliers of equipment and technology for the handling and processing of solid waste and waste water – to communicate these key messages to an audience of customers, investors and the general public.
Recently we’ve reported on the European Commission’s Clean Sky project, in which one client has developed an economically and environmentally sustainable technology for recycling previously ‘unrecyclable’ carbon fibre aircraft components, the launch of The Ellen MacArthur Foundation’s Circular Economy 100 platform, and the installation of the world’s first electrodynamic slag processing unit aimed at dramatically reducing the volume of residue from incinerators that is buried in landfill sites.
These stories and more – developed in cooperation with clients’ corporate communications and marketing functions – have achieved notable coverage in many waste management and recycling magazines and online news portals around the globe, including Recycling and Waste World, Recycling Today, Recycling International, Water & Wastewater Treatment, and Pollution Solutions.
At SE10 we understand the challenges facing the agriculture and forestry industries today – especially questions of productivity and environmental care. Our clients in this sector are manufacturers of industrial engines to be incorporated by agricultural OEMs in their sprayers, harvesters, balers and other equipment, as well as manufacturers of complete compact excavators, wheel loaders and skid steer loaders for use on farms, and larger excavators, wheel loaders, trucks, and sawmill conveyors for use in the forestry and logging industries.
We work with these clients’ corporate communications and marketing departments to define key messages – typically the features and benefits of their equipment and components – and articulate them in press releases, customer testimonials, product brochures and web texts.
In our main PR capacity we have generated reams of coverage for our clients and built lasting relationships with trade titles, including Farmers’ Weekly, Farming Monthly National, and African Farming. We have also supported our clients in their participation at public events, such the National Ploughing Championships in Ireland, helping to boost their profile even further.
With a concentration of influential brands and individuals under one roof, exhibitions, conferences and other events offer rich pickings for journalists on the hunt for an interview. SE10 helps event organisers to take full advantage of this media interest in their participants to build their own brand, engage with exhibitors and visitors, and capture the public’s imagination.
We act as an extension of the event organisers’ brand and marketing teams to run a high-performing press office, determining key messages, generating newsworthy content, and liaising with journalists to ensure they feel welcome and have all the information they need – while also supporting participants’ own PR activities.
We call on our existing network of contacts at national print and broadcast media, and events industry news outlets, as well as building rapport with specialist titles within the event audience’s industry to achieve wide-scale coverage. This coverage increases awareness and shapes perceptions of the event, helping to drive attendance and increase participant engagement. The airtime given to exhibitors and speakers also helps them to gain even more value from their involvement, further strengthening participant relations.
SE10’s first contact with the marine sector came over a decade ago when we reported on the progress of the Volvo Ocean Race, a grueling nine-month round-the-world yacht race for international elite sailors. Since then we’ve helped a provider of marine security and protection services to establish its online presence – and found one of our largest clients in marine engine manufacturer Volvo Penta.
Our work with Volvo Penta’s marine commercial and marine leisure divisions has brought us into contact with naval architects, boat builders and shipyards from all corners of the globe. We’ve written about everything from ferries and supply vessels, through workboats, coast guard and patrol boats, to superyachts, and gained a wide range of experience and knowledge about the global marine and boating industries along the way.
We’ve blogged about promotional trips around the Baltic and Mediterranean, hosted press conferences, and met with journalists at international boat shows in London, Southampton, Cannes, Amsterdam and Berlin, earning enviable coverage in some of the world’s most respected industry titles.
Thanks to major reference client C&A, SE10 is expanding its experience and network of contacts within the global retail and fashion industries. Using its deep knowledge and understanding of the way international corporations operate, SE10 began by supporting C&A in the development and execution of its first Europe-wide internal communications strategy – connecting with everyone from designers and buyers, to logistics operatives and store managers. Today SE10 supports C&A in its external activities too, liaising with the fashion and women’s interest press at fashion shows, photo calls and other launch events that showcase C&A’s latest collections.
Other team experience within the global retail sector includes editor, analyst and stylist roles at trend forecasting companies Stylus Fashion and WGSN, as well as luxury online fashion retailer Net-a-Porter.
Whether retail clients are looking to unite employees and suppliers towards a common goal, increase footfall or boost sales, SE10 delivers bespoke communication strategies and content that supports business aims – all while taking a long-term view of their reputation and brand identity.
The technology industry is one of the most dynamic and competitive sectors around. SE10’s works with clients in this fast-paced sector to create a communication strategy, define key messages and craft timely and relevant content that engages and entertains.
Our agile team of technically-minded individuals has a knack for quickly grasping new technologies and presenting their benefits in a way that is compelling for both the tech community and the person on the street. This storytelling expertise, combined with our little black book of media contacts, has ensured an impressive track record of generating international awareness and acclaim for technology innovators – whether start-ups or established global brands.
Our most recent work creating a series of case studies for global computer technology corporation Oracle in South America perfectly showcases our skill in extracting the most salient sales arguments and conveying them with enthusiasm and flair – not to mention our Portuguese and Spanish language capabilities.
Content is our bread and butter at SE10. We have worked with one of the biggest suppliers of fresh and frozen animal products to food outlets and consumer brands around the world, delivering tailored press releases, editorial content and case studies to whet audiences’ appetites. Through thought leadership campaigns, we’ve also given a voice to smaller companies operating within the food and beverage industries, putting them alongside often far bigger brands.
Recently our stories have been published in trusted food and beverage industry titles such as Food Manufacturing, Food Processing, Confectionary Production, Asia Food Journal, Refrigerated & Frozen Foods, and Food Trade Review.
And the recipe for our success is simple: great writing from our team of former journalists, industry insight, and the ability to forge strong relationships with editors. With these ingredients SE10 has been increasing awareness and understanding of clients, as well as boosting their corporate reputation, for more than ten years.
