SE10 jumps again in PR Week Top 150Created: 07 July 14
In PR Week’s hotly contested annual Top 150 UK PR Consultancies, 2014 rankings show SE10 jumping nine places to occupy 125th position. London-headquartered SE10, with offices in Chicago and Singapore, has been on the list since 2010, jumping up from 134th position in 2013.
The list is compiled using fee income figures, which correlate directly to overall agency scores. New contract wins for SE10 over the last 12 months include Volvo Penta, SDLG and Skyjack. The agency has also experienced growth from existing clients.
And SE10 has not been alone either. Figures show that the industry grew as a whole last year. PR Week confirmed that the Top 150 agencies saw an eight per cent rise in their fee income. There was also a ‘squeezed-middle’ trend apparent in this year’s list, with mid-sized agencies suffering the biggest losses, suggesting clients are opting for smaller and younger agencies, who take a more personal approach to client relations, or global agencies with far larger networks. PR Week’s roundup in statistics also suggested agencies that improved profitability did so by becoming more efficient, not by scrimping on salaries or shedding staff. It was also noted that securing the best talent will be a key priority for agencies in the coming year.
“We’re very pleased to be heading in the right direction in the PR Week rankings, especially as we made such a big jump this year,” says Brian O’Sullivan, Partner at SE10. “Finding the right team has always been at the heart of the SE10 philosophy. Our agency is made up of hard-working individuals who are motivated and enthusiastic about what they do. That’s effective and infectious, and clients are being drawn to us by the results we achieve and the company attitude.”
